The Hidden Brew ("we", "us") is a coffee shop at Unit 4a, Cobden Chambers, Nottingham NG1 2ED. This page explains what we do with personal information when you use this website.

What we collect

  • Your email address, if you join our newsletter. You give it to us by typing it into the form on this site and pressing Send.
  • Technical information that is created when any website is visited, such as your IP address and browser type. Our website host keeps this in standard server logs to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for anything else on this website, and we do not have user accounts or take payments here.

How we use it

  • We use your email address only to send you our newsletter: news about new coffees, events and offers.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build profiles or for advertising.

Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by pressing Send on the sign-up form. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who handles it for us

We use Mailchimp (a service from Intuit Inc.) to store newsletter subscribers and send our emails. Your email address is held by Mailchimp on our behalf. Mailchimp may process data outside the UK, using the safeguards required by data protection law. You can read their privacy statement at mailchimp.com/legal/privacy.

We also use a hosting provider to run this website.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and when you use it you are removed from future mailings.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.

To ask us anything about your information, come and see us in the shop or message us on Instagram (@hiddenbrewcoffee).

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies of our own.

The Find us page shows an embedded Google Map. When that map loads, Google may set cookies and receive information such as your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. Links to other sites, such as Instagram, take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Changes

If we change this policy, the date at the top will change.
